Come one, come all - young and old - to the Annual Heritage Day Festival at Eau Claire Plaza in beautiful Calgary on Monday, August 3, 2026, noon to 6:00 pm.

Celebrate the rich diversity of more than 30 countries through vibrant music, colorful traditional costumes, captivating dance performances, and the delicious flavors of international cuisine. Explore cultural exhibits, handcrafted artwork, and community booths showcasing heritage from around the world.

Heritage Day is a time to reflect on our roots, celebrate traditions, share memories, discover new cultures, and strengthen our community while appreciating the diversity that enriches our city.

Children will enjoy two playgrounds, including a popular sand play area for digging, building, and exploring.

Come join us for the 40th annual Heritage Day Festival at Olympic Plaza! Come for 6 hours of multicultural performances, ethnic foods, and unique handicrafts. ONE – A DANCE SPECTACLE promises an immense array of dynamic and visually stunning performances from some of Alberta’s most accomplished and promising artists. This exciting and unique presentation will showcase dances of Chinese Folk, Hip hop, Bollywood, Aerialists, Contemporary, Belly Dancing, Salsa and many more. Like a jigsaw puzzle, the performances of this evening will piece together seamlessly, all the while portraying a beautiful relationship between and amongst different genres and cultures. This unique show full of fascinating works of integrated dance forms will provide an opportunity for audiences to extend their horizons beyond the boundaries of their own culture and experience other cultures of the world.
